Midnight Run is a volunteer organization dedicated to finding common ground between the housed and the homeless. It was incorporated in 1989 as a not-for-profit organization based in Dobbs Ferry, New York.
In over 1,000 relief missions per year, Midnight Run volunteers from churches such as ours, synagogues, schools and other civic groups distribute food, clothing, blankets and personal care items to the homeless poor living on the streets of New York City.
As a mission born from Holy Spirit Church’s Respect Life Committee in March 2015, our parish does two runs each year. The volunteers who staff the committee handle all aspects of the run; advertising, collecting and organizing donations, and the actual delivery to those in need. If you would like to learn more about the program, or volunteer to assist, please contact John Beck at [email protected] or the rectory office.
